zep talks the way you want it to.
Tone, language, answer style — all via dialog. No prompt engineering, no YAML, no hidden configs. You answer four questions, adjust four sliders — and on the right, in the live preview, you see what changes about a real answer.

Three frictions you don't have to deal with.
- Writing system prompts is specialist knowledge. A single wording decides whether your bot sounds formal or matey — type it wrong and it answers incorrectly for days.
- Trial and error eats hours. Write a prompt, test, rewrite. 5–10 minutes per iteration, half a working day for a complex bot.
- “What was my tone setting again?” Six weeks later you want to change it — and can't find the spot in your Notion anymore.
The builder bot asks structured questions.
Instead of an empty prompt field, you get a dialog. You type what you mean in plain language — the bot translates it into the matching system prompt in the background.
Four axes, five levels, instant preview.
Instead of rewriting system prompts, you move sliders. Every move is translated into a new prompt style — you see the effect on a generated sample answer on the right in real time.
Six knobs you can turn.
Each knob is its own setup element — no hidden magic configs, no YAML files in some backend. Everything reachable through the same builder UI.
Tone sliders
Four axes: casual–professional, short–detailed, matter-of-fact–warm, informal–formal. Each slider has 5 levels with instant live preview.
Multilingual by default
The bot automatically answers in the language of the question. Optionally, you can fix a response language or adjust it regionally.
Taboo topics + behavior rules
What is the bot not allowed to answer? Which words does it avoid? Which topics does it hand off to humans? — maintainable as a list, without prompt magic.
Four suggested questions
The bot's home page shows four sample questions that you write yourself — as a starting aid for first-time visitors. They lower the “what should I ask” barrier.
Greeting + sign-off
First sentence, last sentence — both can be written individually or generated by the builder bot. Emoji style and form of address are kept consistent too.
A/B mode for style tests
On the Pro plan: run two style variants in parallel; the bot user randomly sees one variant, and per setting you see answers plus the thumbs-up/down rate.
FAQ on bot setup.
Can I still write my own system prompt?
Yes. In “Advanced” mode you see the system prompt generated by the builder bot and can override it freely. On the next builder run, your custom prompt is preserved.
Does the bot learn from the questions users ask?
On the standard plan: no. We log questions anonymized (if you enable logging), but the bot is not automatically retrained. On the Pro plan you can manually mark answers as “good” / “bad” — those feed into the next iteration, but explicitly, not silently.
What if I need different tones for different audiences?
Then you need several bots. On the Plus plan you have three, on Pro five — each with its own setup, its own style, its own URL. You can share or separate the knowledge base.
Can I see in advance how a slider change plays out?
Yes. The live preview next to the sliders shows you a generated answer to a sample question. Move a slider → the answer updates in 1–2 seconds.
How do I prevent the bot from answering off-topic?
In the setup you specify taboo topics or off-topic thresholds. For questions outside those limits, the bot politely says it won't answer that and suggests alternatives (e.g. a contact link or a helpdesk address).
Can I compare setup versions?
Yes, in the version history you see all setup states with a diff. Rollback in one click. On the Pro plan additionally: per version, a statistic on how answer ratings have changed.
The builder bot is waiting — get started.
