Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 18.04.2026
Non-binding English translation. The German version is legally binding.
1. Scope
This statement applies to the web application zeptix.io including all tenant subdomains (public chat interface). It has been prepared with regard to the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0); the applied standard is WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
2. Conformity status
To the best of our knowledge, the application is partially compliant with the requirements of WCAG 2.1 AA. The following areas are known and are being actively addressed:
- Skip links to the main navigation are not yet implemented throughout.
- Keyboard navigation of the chat interface has not yet been fully AA-tested (in particular focus order in modal dialogs and sidebar).
- Some color contrasts in secondary typography (e.g. muted text) are slightly below 4.5:1 and are being reviewed.
- ARIA labelling of dynamic components (toasts, dropdowns) is being progressively extended.
- Full screen reader operability has not yet been externally audited.
Already implemented include: semantic HTML with <main> landmarks, correct lang attributes (DE/EN), responsive layout, clearly visible focus indicators, alternative texts for informative images and no color-only signalling.
3. Non-accessible content
The following content is not yet accessibility-compliant for the reasons listed in section 2:
- Chat interface (full keyboard / screen reader tests pending)
- Onboarding dialogs (multi-step forms, ARIA live regions in preparation)
Note: as Zeptix as platform operator has no influence on bot content individually designed by the tenant (system prompt, knowledge base, branding texts), accessibility of specific bot content cannot be guaranteed by the platform. Recommendations for tenants are provided in the tenant documentation.
4. Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 18.04.2026 based on an internal self-assessment. An external audit is planned for the current year. Next review: 01.10.2026.
