Does this also work with Shopify or WooCommerce?

Yes. zep is platform-independent — you embed a script snippet in your theme that works on Shopify, WooCommerce, Shopware, JTL, Magento and any other shop software. Connecting your shop API is optional but not required for FAQ bots.

Does the bot get access to my orders?

Only if you want it to. By default zep answers from your knowledge content: shipping policy, terms, product data. If you want to query order status or tracking, you connect your shop API — GDPR-compliant and with an audit log.

What happens when the bot can't answer a question?

zep explicitly says it doesn't know and routes the customer to your support inbox or a live chat. You also get a list of every question the bot couldn't answer — perfect for filling the gaps in your knowledge base on purpose.

Can the bot sell products or only inform?
