FAQ on customization & branding.
Do I need coding skills to customize my chatbot?
No. All 8 customization areas are GUI-based with live preview. Upload a logo, pick a color via the color picker, set the tone via a dropdown — done. For power users, the Pro plan includes a plain-text persona editor and a custom CSS override.
Can I fully hide the Zeptix branding?
The “powered by Zeptix.io” note in the footer can only be hidden completely on the Business plan. A custom domain is available from the Pro plan (up to 3 domains on Pro, up to 10 on Business); custom OG images and a custom login page are available on all paid plans. On Free, Starter and Pro the subtle “powered by Zeptix” note stays visible in the footer.
Does my logo also work on the chatbot's login page?
Yes. As soon as you upload your logo in the Branding tab, it appears on the login page (for private chatbots), in the chat header, in the OG image and in the embed. If no logo is set, the bot falls back to a clean initial avatar — never the Zeptix logo on your bot.
What's the difference between branding and styles?
Branding is the brand-identity layer: logo, name, domain, wordmark. Styles are the visual layer: font, animation, theme. You can switch styles without losing your branding — and vice versa.
Can I change a customization area later, once the bot is already live?
Yes, anytime. Changes go live without downtime. For larger layout switches (e.g. from floating to fullscreen) we recommend refreshing the embed snippet at your embed host — that takes under 30 seconds.
Are the customization options limited on the Free plan?
On the Free and Starter plans you have access to all 8 areas, but without a custom domain. With the Pro plan you unlock custom domains (up to 3) and extended add-on slots. The “powered by Zeptix” note in the footer can only be hidden completely on the Business plan.
